“Remembering Mop” is a pastiche (AKA muddle) of images centering on a sweet 19th (?) Century dog portrait from an album in the collection of the New York Public Library. Other elements include a fragment of a face of “Beautiful Cassandra”, by 16th Century Italian artist Vincenzo Andreoli, and rune-like characters from Paul Klee’s “The Rhine at Duisburg”. The latter two courtesy the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
