I sign my images “Next” to acknowledge what I feel is a collaboration between myself and the unseen army of developers who create the software I use to make my work. And “Next” is itself a shorthand way of referring to Next Us, the technological Singularity toward which I fancy we, as a species, are inexorably evolving.
